Southwest Credit Cards Now Earn More On Lyft — And The Best Part Is Stacking The Points

Chase and Lyft have increased points-earning for paying for Lyft Rides with a Southwest credit card.

This is advertised as being through From now through December 2027, which tells us how long the contract lasts (it could be extended).

Chase Sapphire Reserve® (See rates and fees) earns 5x on Lyft rides, which is still the best (since Chase points transfer to Southwest or a number of other places) but spending on the Southwest card is valuable for those chasing a Companion Pass.

Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card (See rates and fees) also earn 5x total points on Lyft rides. This is advertised as being through September 2027.

I like earning 5x with Lyft, noting especially that this stacks with crediting Lyft rides to their other partnerships – Hilton, Alaska, Bilt, and United. Link your preferred loyalty program account and earn with them, too. That’s separate from your payment card.

What’s more, I get Lyft upgrades and discounts by linking my DoorDash DashPass account which I got covered via Chase.

And I stack that earning with ThanksAgain, whose points can be redeemed for gift cards or transferred to JetBlue. In other words, I love Lyft because of all of the ways that I earn rewards.
