British Airways Companion Award Voucher Can Now Be Used For 50% Off Solo Traveler Redemptions

British Airways “Travel Together” vouchers can be earned using the airline’s co-brand credit cards. They let a companion travel for no additional miles when redeeming points. The first passenger pays normal miles, taxes and surcharges while the second passenger is charged taxes and surcharges but no miles.

They can now be used for a solo traveler to save 50% off the miles for an award.

Several European Airlines Now Refusing To Enforce Government Mask Rules

Much like in the U.S., Dutch mask mandates are falling away everywhere… except on airlines and in airports. So four Dutch airlines led by KLM have decided this is so stupid, they’re just going to stop enforcing it starting March 23.

British Airways, meanwhile, announced an end to their mask mandate – but reportedly has told crew the rule remains in place definitely anyway.

British Airways First Class Awards Have All But Disappeared From North America Routes

This summer British Airways doubled its award availability commitment. Each airline opens award space on flights on its own schedule, if they open awards at all. British Airways is unique in promising to make awards available on every flight when the schedule loads.

But they don’t promise first class awards. They used to be good about offering them. Now first class space is almost non-existent.
