Mar 15 2021

A mask resister live-blogged his experience flying American Airlines to Philadelphia and home to Manchester, New Hampshire. He drank at the airport and mocked other passengers along the way. And while he reports being successful walking through the airport and flying to Philly without a properly-worn mask, he was eventually kicked off his last flight by American for something entirely unrelated to masks – taking a seat in an empty row to promote social distancing.

On a United Airlines flight to Houston on Saturday, rapper DJ Drama filmed a passenger being removed from the aircraft – and was then removed himself.

The aptly-named Drama, née Tyree Simmons, posted video of the removal to Instagram – and also video of the aftermath, where he’s being ejected from first class. A passenger has been sentenced to 14 months of incarceration after going off on a “foul mouthed tirade mouth tirade…call[ing] an Italian flight attendant a “fascist” while making racist Roman salutes, repeatedly refused to wear a face mask and strok[ing] the arm of another flight attendant who[m] he also threatened to punch.”

His excuse according to his lawyer? He was too drunk to remember any of this, after drinking so much vodka straight from his own bottle.

Mar 01 2021

Frontier Airlines cancelled its Miami – New York LaGuardia flight 2878 Sunday evening over a mask incident. The airline says that a ‘large group’ of passengers wouldn’t wear masks. The family, and some other passengers, dispute that characterization – say it was a maskless 18 month old who triggered the incident which caused the planeload of passengers to be rebooked for this morning.
