Chase is offering a 70% transfer bonus to Marriott Bonvoy — but even with that boost, moving Chase points to Marriott is still a poor deal. In most cases you can get close to double the value by redeeming through Chase instead, especially when a hotel is available through The Edit. Here’s the math and the much better way to book.

You can transfer 1,000 Capital One points into 5,600 JetBlue TrueBlue points right now. And since JetBlue points are worth about 1.3 cents apiece, that means getting 7.3 cents per Capital One point in value which is almost unheard of.
Bear in mind though that after gutting awards on Delta and devaluing ANA business class awards up to 26% without notice, Virgin Atlantic plans to move to dynamic award pricing in just two weeks. With the American Express Membership Rewards 30% transfer bonus to British Airways ending August 31, Chase is picking up the mantle. They’re offering a 30% bonus on transfers to British Airways and fellow Avios airlines Iberia and Aer Lingus through September 22, in addition to their less valuable Marriott transfer bonus which continues through September 30.
Bilt Rewards May 1st ‘Rent Day’ promotions includes a 100% bonus on points transfers to Air France KLM Flying Blue. Before Bilt ran a 100% bonus to Hawaiian Airlines there had never been a double points transfer bonus to an airline where points already transferred one-to-one. And now they’ve done it again.
And they’ve coordinated with Flying Blue to make May’s discounted ‘promo awards’ especially lucrative from North America. I haven’t seen such a great set of award discounts from Flying Blue in years.
