TSA Now Accepts Arrest Warrants From Undocumented Immigrants As ID For Airport Security

Now this just seems like next-level trolling by the Biden Administration Department of Homeland Security. The Transportation Security Administration says that undocumented immigrants “who are unable to obtain proper identification” can “pass through security using an arrest warrant to prove their identity.”

According to TSA Administrator David Pekoske,

[C]ertain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) documents may be considered acceptable alternate forms of identification, including a ‘Warrant for Arrest of Alien’ and a ‘Warrant of Removal/Deportation.’

Other acceptable forms include an Order of Release on Recognizance, an Order of Supervision, a Notice to Appear, and Arrival and Departure form or an Alien Booking Record…If the traveler does not have acceptable ID, two forms of alternate ID are required and they are subject to additional screening.

Despite insistence by the government that passengers have to have a REAL ID-compliant document to pass through airport security (now delayed until May 2023), people go through security every day without presenting photo ID. The TSA then seeks alternative means of establishing identity, such as these documents and ‘challenge questions’ drawn from a commercially-developed database.

Of course it’s not clear that the documents provided to apprehended undocumented immigrants reference their actual names, before crossing the border I’d probably practice saying that I was born in East L.A.. Nonetheless, “DHS said that an average of 159 passengers fly throughout the U.S. using these DHS-issued documents per day.”

According to TSA’s administrator,

[The agency] is committed to ensuring that all travelers, regardless of immigration status, are pre-screened before they arrive to the airport, have their pre-screening status and identification verified at security checkpoints, and receive appropriate screening based on risk before entering the sterile area of the airport

He’s gaslighting of course because TSA claims to need to establish identity in order to match travelers against a database, so if the identity provided on these documents isn’t verified then there really is no “pre-screen[ing] before they arrive to the airport.” There is, of course, a nude-o-scope, option for full body massage, and ban on bringing bottled water through the checkpoint.

  1. Absurd – typical Biden mandate. Gotta move those illegals around, all over America in order to spread the virus and for future socialistic DemocRat votes by these illegals.

  2. @ David R. Miller — Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell are the socialists, not the Democrats. They are responsible for the biggest waste of taxpayer money in history, but I suppose that is OK since it benefitted the wealthy?

  3. 1. There’s no need for TSA to be checking our identity. It’s revenue protection for the airlines, an inconvenience – to say nothing of infringing civil liberties – for us, the passengers.

    2. Travel is a right. It’s not a privilege. Domestically, it’s got nothing to do with immigration status.

    3. We need more immigrants. They’re the backbone of our country.

    4. Undocumented immigrants are majority Mexican. They’re an admirable group of people, very friendly folks, also very hard working. We should welcome them into our country.

  4. @Big Booty – travel is NOT A RIGHT. You have no rights in the constitution to take a flight, train or rider a bus. Sorry but you are wrong. Sure you can walk or drive your car but if you want to use PUBLIC transportation you need to adhere to the rules. I can’t wait to hear the whining when vaccine mandates are in place for domestic flights (like in many countries).

  5. @ David Miller — Wake up and realize that the entire Republican party is a bunch of LIARS. They are tools of the wealthy and have completely screwed up our country by giving out $10 trillion or whatever it was in 2020.

  6. Yes, it is trolling. I cannot use my regular NY issued driver license to get to plane, but they can use arrest warrant? Really? Do they have to bring victims with them, as illustration? Arrest warrant as new travel ID, crazy times.

  7. If you wanted to wreck the Biden agenda come Nov. 2022, you’d be hard pressed to come up with a better set of self-owns than this crew has managed. Even die-hard, true-Blue Democrats outside of the Beltway Bubble have got to be reading this and wondering what in the hell they’re smoking in Washington. This may fly on the Upper East Side or in Georgetown, this is going to go over like a lead balloon in Central Suburbia.

  8. The only explanation is they want Trump to run. They think it’s the only way for Kamala to unite the Dems and have a shot.

  9. @Big Booty, yes, we need the immigrants. Anbyone looked around a grocery store, lately? See all the vacants space, lack of food and supplies. That’s due to an immigrant shortage. First Trump, then Biden admin, cut the number of visas for temp workers in the food supply change. Who do you think is going to replace all those manual laborers?

  10. @Big Booty,
AMEN! Absolutely spot on on every single point. Especially ID checks at TSA. They do absolutely nothing to improve aviation safety and should be abolished!

  11. Kimmie – Apparently you have forgotten the 2 million+ illegals that have poured thru the Biden border – there is NO immigrant shortage – just an immigrant laziness because of all of the assistance given to these illegals – money that real tax payers pay in taxes. The “lack of food and supplies” are NOT a result of an “immigrant shortage” – the empty shelves are a direct result of brain dead Biden’s policies. So quit your liberal lying and face reality – the Biden administration is solely at fault for the food and food supply issues.

  12. @David Miller — SOLELY AT FAULT? The issue began before Biden was even elected. Why not blame Obama?

  13. Gene – apparently you are a liberal, for, when confronted with correct, concise facts concerning any topic, if one does not concur with liberal stupidity (about any topic), the liberal will expand and/or change the focus of the topic – because they know they are wrong and they don’t have a logical, truthful response. As for your moronic reply/question – the current food/supply issue has ONLY become an issue BECAUSE of the brain dead Biden administration. Why don’t you wise up and accept the real time facts and the real time people who are responsible for this current food/supply chain issues confronting America and Americans. Look up the word “obtuse” and stare at your picture alongside the definition.

  14. I am not a proponent of anything-goes, all-open borders. That said, I also don’t think that anyone should be required to show an ID at the airport checkpoint. The airline could certainly require one, but the gov’t shouldn’t.

  15. @David Miller. You and I would be good friends.

@ALL, it’s been a year since orange man has been in office. The problems we see today, particularly with the food/supply chain are indeed due to Biden and regulations in California.

@AC, why would you want vaccine mandates for domestic travel? Covid has mutated. It is not the same disease it was when this all started. As a physician working in a busy ER of the inner city , I can tell you the cases are night and day from what they were at the onset of the pandemic. Patients are nowhere near as sick as they were in the past. It’s time to move on.

  16. We are not a real country. Rules are made up as we go and laws don’t mean much – everything is arbitrary and selectively enforced. No one really cares about anything except for themselves. Sorry but no one – Repubs or Dems- feom the government is here to help. If you actually think the government is here to help the citizens you are part of the problem.

  17. @gene did you know we are now flooded with illegal immigrants who have come here because if Biden’s open border policy. They come for free healthcare, education, and welfare paid for by american taxpayers. You want talk about wasting our hard earned money ? Biden’s policies have directly benefitted the largest corporations, Build Back Better benefits China more than it does America. He’s destroyed small businesses with bureaucratic mandates .and increased the amount of poor people who depend on the government for food and welfare subsidies.

  18. Not sure I understand the uproar. If the document is acknowledged by the court system as proof of identity since the immigrant was served with no other ID source, it should be good enough for TSA. You can’t have it only go one way thinking you can deport using it as proof of service but then not recognize it as identification. If your point is you don’t really know the person’s name then basically you just legally recognized their chosen name and entered it in court records.

I might add, if the person has been tracked by the INS ( or whatever name they use now) for long enough to serve them, they clearly aren’t terrorists.

  19. ‘Warrant for Arrest of Alien’ and ‘Warrant of Removal/Deportation” have always been the acceptable ID for the undocumented to board a flight. TSA just clarified it. When the undocumented arrestees or deportees have to be transported under the custody of law enforcement, the warrants are acceptable ID for the officers to show TSA to get through the security. It’s been this way forever.

  20. @Big Booty

No, we don’t need any more people or groups that commit disproportionately high levels of violence, change the genetic fabric of America, and bankrupt legitimate citizens with $10,000 a year in benefits per illegal or their children. We don’t need more people causing an oversupply of labor and bringing down wages.

America went to the moon and built a powerhouse economy on European ancestry immigration. Immigration of other groups since has proven to be detrimental overall for the above stated reasons plus the fact that they’ll vote for the left who support criminalizing every facet of freedom just because the left will give them more benefits.

There is a severe overpopulation problem in China, India, and Central America. There is also an overpopulation problem in the U.S. The environment can’t support more people. Climate change may or may not be happening but the environment will be degraded with more people. There has to be an end. Millions and eventually a billion can’t flood into the country. It’s not sustainable.

  21. This was going on also a bunch during the Trump Admin and as far back as the GW Bush Admin.

Nothing new here, including the feigned outrage by the ignorant advocates of passenger ID checking who peddle the foolish assumption that “ID is security” when it comes to domestic passenger travel and TSA screening of such passengers at US airports.

The TSA’s passenger ID checking runs contrary to the interests of better screening to stop restricted weapons, explosives and incendiaries from clearing TSA checkpoints.

Scrap the ID checking and the government aviation blacklists and get us back to America being America the land of the free (from government ID checks) to travel domestically by commercial transport means.

  22. Previously de facto Trump-supporting Courtney Rawlinson should be thanking Biden and the Biden Administration for getting us away from the bad Trump clown show.

Under the Biden Administration, supply chains in the US have become way closer to pre-pandemic activity levels than is the case for any G20 country. The US under the Biden Administration currently has the narrowest of gap with pre-pandemic supply chains of any major economy in the world. There’s still room for improvement but the US is in the global lead for the supply chain gap narrowing.

With regard to JacKKKson Waterson’s comment:

America “went to the moon and built a powerhouse economy” on the backs of “brown” and “black” people before East Asian people. It wasn’t built on just the shoulders of European immigrants.

Those “illegal Mexicans” in the US are generally more indigenously connected to the land that became the US than European-Americans, African-Americans and Asian-Americans are. Their ancestors were on these lands first, long before even the Vikings or Spaniards and Italians and Moroccans got to the Americas.

  23. [C]ertain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) documents may be considered acceptable alternative forms of identification, including a ‘Warrant for Arrest of Alien’ and a ‘Warrant of Removal/Deportation.’
Hahahahah – The above statement looks like a joke. I don’t know from where they think.

  24. David Miller can only wish, so let’s thank him for his confession while he projects and misdirects over his own issue.

The majority of Mexicans have indigenous American roots that long pre-date the arrival of even the Vikings into North America.

  25. I can’t wait for Jan 2023 when Bare Shelves Biden will start being impeached, that should be job one of the GOP House once they take back the house.

Good lord, do we really need another reason to hate the left? not really but they keep giving us more reasons LMAO.

You guys on the left are such a bunch of tools

  26. If they are illegal aliens why would they be allowed to fly domestically? They should only be allowed to board flights that are leaving the USA or be arrested and deported. Elections have consequences it seems.

  27. @ jay — Try watching a channel other than FoxNews. Contrary to what you are being fed by these liars, undocumented immigrants do not receive “free healthcare, education, and welfare paid for by american taxpayers”.

  28. @Gene – Receipt of bribes. You can’t ignore Hunter’s laptop(s) forever. Or his daughter’s diary. But let’s be honest – they’ll investigate, but never impeach. Because as bad a Biden is, there’s no way anyone on the other side of the aisle wants Harris as president. They want the issue, not the result.

  29. David Miller is akin to his Lord Trump: repeating misinformation (read: lies) to sell to his fellow crazies.

The crazies think Biden’s going to be impeached? For nothing but their wishful fantasies. These are the same crazies who remain supporters of the twice-impeached Trump and prefer that Trump would still be President. Whether they admit it publicly or not, doesn’t matter. They are the hypocritical crazies that have gone crazier and crazier as they dive down the deeper rabbit holes of the fringe online (and offline) media web and can only be trusted to be crazy, hypocritical partisan zealots.

  30. OMG – all pro-Biden comments are way beyond idiot level – do you guys just like to prove to the moderates and the right that you are insane or are you just beyond hope?
hopefully the cheatin dems will be whacked in the mid-terms despite the mainstream media lies that we are fed each day.

  31. OMG – all pro-Biden comments are way beyond idiot level – do you guys just like to prove to the moderates and the right that you are insane or are you just beyond hope?
hopefully the cheatin dems will be whacked in the mid-terms despite the mainstream media lies that we are fed each day.

  32. As soon as I saw this headline I knew Jackshit Waterson and “Chump Fool” David R. Miller or just David Miller would be out in force spewing their “Chumpitis”. Come on guys, “Let’s go Chump”, “Let’s go Chump”, “Let’s go Chump”, louder now, all together, “Let’s go Chump”.

  33. And don’t forget, you can vote without an ID but you must provide one to get vaccinated!

  34. Insanity breeds insanity! Lawlessness with no respect for the law and wanton disregard for the law, breeds anarchy, violence and instability in society. Such leadership must be impeached so a return to law and order may follow. Is it time yet?

  35. What a bunch of manufactured outrage. Some of the comments are particularly dramatic. How sad.

  36. What a bunch of manufactured outrage. Some of the comments are particularly dramatic. How sad.

I find their ability to believe that which is obviously false without thought, without question, and instantly to be frightening.

  37. I work for DHS (TSA) and we are processing hundreds of these ‘bond travelers ” everyday. They have no legitimate identification and are being allowed to travel freely, assuming they will show up at their court hearings. I am not pro either party but this is disturbing!

  38. In California lots of illegals get medical treatment paid for by medical. If they give birth in America those kids get an education and become citizens. If they don’t want to work or get under the table money there you go welfare. It’s not hard to see how this can happen. Not sure why people are so upset over the comments. This thing is a huge deal for illegals coming across the border. Why else are they willing to risk dying, getting raped, murdered, and etc?

  39. “In California lots of illegals get medical treatment paid for by medical.”

    No.

“If they give birth in America those kids get an education and become citizens.”

They do not “become” USA citizens: they are citizens.

“If they don’t want to work or get under the table money there you go welfare.”

    No.

GOOD NEWS! Your irrational fear is unnecessary. What you asserted (without evidence) is not happening.

  40. I don’t know where people get this idea of illegals getting free healthcare, education, and welfare.

These folks work and pay taxes using an ITIN. They get zero State/Federal gov’t support if any, meanwhile they pay billions of dollars in taxes and the gov’t is happy to receive their money.

They don’t come for healthcare. Do you know how expensive US healthcare is. Even Norway encouraged its citizens to go and seek healthcare at the beginning of the pandemic. They also don’t cause wages to go down. If wages are high here these billionaires will move their factories elsewhere, Oh sorry, they already are doing that.

Immigrants mostly do jobs Americans do not want to do. They do hard manual jobs and employers are happy to employ them not to exploit them(though that happens in certain cases) but because all the hardworking Americans are in the services sector which means the lazy crop that are left won’t do manual jobs well hence the preference for immigrants.

The current immigration problem has lasted since Bush-era. It’s not an immigration problem thing, politicians just make it seem that way. Its a money thing. All these politicians including Trump have businesses that benefit directly from the labor of the hard-working immigrants.
