News and notes from around the interweb:
- Whoops: If you confirm an upgrade on United after you’ve already checked in, you need to re-check in or you’ll lose your seat.
- My Points Life reminds that this advice I gave 7 years ago remains true: Hilton prepaid, non-refundable rates are actually changeable up until 3 days prior to arrival for hotels in the US, Mexico, and Caribbean, for a ($25 or $50) fee.
- This went on for 90 minutes, though. Crazy mad, or mad respect?
- Delta Air Lines is Bringing Back its Retro Wrap Dress After Abandoning New Uniform Designed By The Gap Gap isn’t very premium, and I didn’t love the ‘passport purple’ Zac Posen design. I still think the Richard Tyler red dress was iconic.
- This dog is staring at you from La Premiere, yet Air France KLM Flying Blue will not even allow its Gold elite members to redeem their points for it.
- I’ve covered marijuana rewards programs in the past, and even rewards for whippets. Well, just like airline and hotel programs, they have glitches too. Or maybe they were just “stoned when they set it up.”
My dispensary has a rewards system where you collect points for each dollar purchased. For whatever reason, when I use the points, they’re never subtracted. I just keep accumulating points and bigger discounts. Obviously mum is the word because it’s a pricey loophole, but I feel so lucky. I love weed
I’m calling B.S. Delta is desperate to avoid unionization among FAs. FAs just didn’t like the design or didn’t watch to switch.
And many of the Sky Club and ground staff have not switched over to the museum security guard-esque blue blazer that was supposed to give Delta’s non-flight attendants employees a distinct appearance.
Mah man Gary with Deltalina! Ow! Ow!
