Rocketmiles will buy you beer if you book a stay by August 4 in a ‘US Brewing Hub’ through this link.
They define a brewing hub as:
- Portland
- Denver
- Minneapolis
- Brooklyn
- Seattle
- St. Louis
- Milwaukee
I suspect there are some cities that might lay down some hate over this. How do you feel, if yours was left out?
Customers must be 21 years of age or older and have a U.S. address to receive the beer.
You can only earn this once, and after your stay you’ll get your beer.
The terms and conditions of the offer recognize that not only was August 1 International Beer Day, but they also claim it was “International Girlfriends Day”.
If traveling with one, Rocketmiles recommends sharing your beer with her.
I followed up to clarify with Rocketmiles about how the beer thing works, and they explained,
We are ACTUALLY going to send beer. After checkout, our concierges will work with a combination of TaskRabbit, or other local delivery services to fulfill the offer, depending on people’s residence.
Not really sure how valuable sending beer will be perceived. I wonder whether people would prefer the beer as a stay amenity?
But I like this for when you’re booking stays for someone else. They get the stay, as always with Rocketmiles you get the miles for the booking. And you’ll get beer. “You’re the booker in the family, or the one who takes care of arrangements for your friends and co-workers. This Bud’s for you!”
The terms of this promotion do not exclude getting 1000 bonus miles with your first stay for being referred by an existing member. So sign up for Rocketmiles before you book through the promo link.
However since you do have to book through their designated link, the tradeoff would presumably be the 5000 United mile first time booking bonus on a 3 night stay or 3000 mile bonus with your choice of program regardless of stay length. And the miles are probably worth more than the beer.

Slow news day?
Who thought of this one/ Too hard Rocketmiles? You’ll send the beer after the stay? yeah right! Free beer! Whoopee, that’ll save me what? $5? maybe $10 if it’s San Francisco. Gotta do better than this RocketMiles LOL
Microbreweries are so ubiquitous in the US nowadays the idea of a “beer hub” seems absurd. Also, even as a beer lover the offer of a single beer mailed to me after a reservation doesn’t move me to even find out what Rocketmiles is.
Of course if you fly Horizon to Portland or Seattle, you get a free beer on your flight too. Free beer stacking!
Slow news day, but San Diego is missing. Give me a break!
Will they send a beer to my home? In Brazil? I honestly doubt that.
Nowhere does it say that it is limited to US residents, though.
@bode My thoughts exactly!!! haha I love my Karl Strauss.
