Hyatt Working to Introduce Cash & Points at MGM Hotels

When Hyatt updated its terms and conditions with changes to expiration for new suite and club lounge awards they also added a reference to cash and points awards at MGM M Life destinations.

Hyatt has never offered cash and points awards for MGM properties, only standard awards. I reached out to Hyatt to see what was up — would we soon be able to redeem cash and points at places like Mandalay Bay and Bellagio?

It turns out that the terms and conditions were updated in error but this is something they’re working on. A spokesperson tells me,

The Terms and Conditions as it relates to cash and points awards at MGM M life Rewards destinations were inadvertently published, and we appreciate you bringing this error to our attention. This is something we are continuing to explore, but we honestly do not have a timeline set just yet. We are working on reverting back to the original terms as quickly as possible.

  1. Completely irrelevant IMO. You should only use points in Vegas when cash rates are high. But since Points + Cash is capacity-controlled it is unlikely to be made available for dates when it might provide value.

  2. Gary you need a subeditor, the copy contradicts the title which should be something like “Hyatt not doing anything”

Actually you need a subeditor who will spike non-stories like this
