• Pork is being pulled from Australia flights. Per American Airlines,

  In an effort to prevent African Swine Fever (ASF), Australia’s Department of Agriculture is seeking airlines’ support to cease serving items containing pork on flights to Australia.

  In order to comply with this new regulation, effective October 23 American will make entrée adjustments in LAX-SYD to replace all pork items. This will affect our Business Class 2nd service Mezze Plate and American Breakfast.

  Printed menus with the modified items will be provided when the cycle changes on November 13.

  Please advise customers of this change and apologize on our behalf

• Hotel occupancy down year-over-year.

• American Airlines is double catering Chile flights as a precaution.

  In the event our caterer in SCL is unable to provide normal catering, we have double provisioned flights departing the U.S. from both MIA and DFW. We kindly ask your support not to use or move any of the double provisioned inventory during your flight to SCL. If the caterer is unable to produce normal catering, these items will be used for the return flight. The caterer will still approach the aircraft, remove trash, provide wet ice and dry ice, and top off beverage carts.
