United Told Pilots the First Polaris Studio 787-9 Arrives in February — Flights Start in March [Roundup]

News and notes from around the interweb:

  • United business class suites with doors and the first class-like premium row is happening!! First destinations were announced as San Francisco to London and Singapore.

  • The new Starbucks Rewards program is coming in March, and it significantly devalues earning. There are elite tiers, but even the top tier’s base earn is less than what everyone earns today. Go figure.

  • ‘Pivot to premium.’

  • Some people are afraid of spiders, other people:

  • The Hawaiian Airlines Bank of Hawaii personal card and small business card are back, which is great because you can get those in addition to Bank of America Alaska Airlines cards and the miles all go to the same place.

  • NSFW, because Tupac, but it’s pretty awesome.

UA is grabbing any capacity it can find and doesn’t seem to care whether it is premium or not

  2. Excellent. Any and all airlines upgrading cabins, refreshing premium, is a good thing, United, American, Delta, included.

  3. Rather than go through the “gay beam” TSA scanner, the good pastor wants male staff to “pat him down THOROUGHLY [emphasis added]”

    Ahhh…..the real reason emerges.
