Back To The Future: Delta Air Lines Returns To Boarding Zones, Downgrades Diamond Elites

Delta Air Lines is moving from ‘branded boarding’ to having 8 boarding zones starting May 1, although things are even more complicated than that because there are still groups that are called to board before and in the middle of those zones.

This is supposed to streamline boarding and be better for customers by… copying American and United, and copying Delta itself from 2017.

Thanks To Department Of Justice, Spirit Airlines Forced To Furlough Pilots

Spirit Airlines is planning to furlough 260 pilots starting in September. They’re blaming Pratt & Whitney engine issues, which limit their flying. However, they’re also deferring delivery of new aircraft because of their financial position. And they wouldn’t be in this position, except for the federal government blocking plans which would have utilized these resources.

She’s frequently forced to gate check a bag because of this extra ‘pocket’.
