Reveal: United’s New Narrowbody Lie Flat Business Class Seats

Details of the new United Airlines lie flat business class seat for narrowbody Airbus A321XLR and a subset of the airline’s new Boeing 737-10 aircraft have been revealed.

Here, there’s a herringbone arrangement with passengers seated at a 49 degree angle, away from the window. And to pack in as many seats as possible, the patented seat creates an area that is shared between passengers – one passenger gets shoulder space, while the passenger beside them gets lower arm space – all in the name of cabin density.

Passengers Demand Refund After Dog Flatulence Ruins Paris Flight

If a seating arrangement is so untenable that a customer downgrades inflight, it does seem reasonable that the difference in fare should be refunded. The discomfort was because of the dog and their owner, but it’s an arrangement that’s still the responsibility of the airline, and the passengers who moved certainly didn’t get the product or experience that they paid for.

U.S. Airlines Fail Passengers During Bad Weather. How To Take Matters Into Your Own Hands.

There were over 1,350 flight cancellations in the U.S. on Saturday, led by regional carrier Republic which flies for the three largest airlines which saw 35% of flights cancel. When bad weather hits, it’s larger planes carrying more people that are usually given priority. Behind Republic were – in order – United, American, and Delta, together taking the four top spots for cancellations in the world.

New Long Haul Destinations American Airlines To Add In 2025 And 2026

Last week I wrote that American Airlines plans to serve more premium international destinations starting in 2025 and into 2026. That’s once they’ve taken delivery of new Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which they ordered in 2018 and have been delayed.

Senior Vice President of Network Planning told employees recently that these planes change the airline’s calculus.

Big Airlines Are Pressuring Airports To Kick Out Semi-Private Carrier JSX

Airlines and the major pilot union have lobbied the federal government to put premium air carrier JSX out of business, and the FAA has introduced a rulemaking to do just that.

Asking the federal government to put them out of business isn’t the only front on which JSX is under attack by major airlines and their labor unions. Reportedly airlines press airports where they have influence to refuse JSX access to private terminals, and require them to fly from main terminals.
