I’m a Briggs & Riley fan, my usual carry on is their Baseline CX bag. They’ve made a splash over the past month with a new bag, and I’ve arranged a giveaway.
As I explained last week, I have two different Briggs & Riley bags to give away (different bags for different reasons, they’ve “got your business and leisure covered” as it were).
Last week I gave away the hot new TORQ bag.
Of course Briggs & Riley is all about functional luggage, as much as I like the look of the new bags their bread and butter is the business market epitomized by their @work line.
Which of course comes with Briggs & Riley’s unrivaled lifetime guarantee.
Here’s how you can enter to win by commenting on this post. Given the strength of reputation for their guarantee, Answer the following question in the comments:
- Do you worry something is going to happen to your luggage?
Here are the rules:
- You need to answer the above question in your comment to this blog to be entered.
- You may enter up to once per day — and I give you a bit of slack in this, I won’t disqualify any entry as long as you don’t make more than one entry per calendar day or as long as no entry is closer than 24 hours together from another one. And if you’re close, we’re cool. I’m not looking to disqualify people, just to make sure there’s no massive ballot stuffing.
- All entries (comments) must be received no later than Thursday, June 13 at Noon Eastern time.
- I will draw a winner at random in the days following the close of the contest from those that meet these guidelines. Make sure you provide a valid e-mail address when entering to be eligible to win (you do not need to leave an email address in the comments, but along with your name where it asks for your email that email must be ‘real’ or I will have no way of contacting you).
- The winner acknowledges that this is a prize and is not for resale.
- I’m the final arbiter in all matters related to this contest and in all matters of interpretation. There is no appeal. I’m doing this because there’s an opportunity to send out a pretty cool high-end bag, and not taking anything in return, so please don’t give me a hard time in the process.
Any questions? E-mail me. And hopefully the winner will also follow up with me to let me know their impressions of the bag.

Yep, all of my clothes are in there and I don’t want to have to go shopping again!
Last time I was worried was when I had an overnight layover in Bangkok. But everything was fine in the end.
I worry that my wife will take over another bag… 🙂
Not until the point of time the conveyor belt stops, and I am still waiting for it.
PS: Owning a Briggs & Riley would be tres cool.
My only worry is that my bag/wheel will break and I will be stuck somewhere with a defective case. I rarely check luggage.
Never worry – the B&R guarantee has me covered !!!
🙂
Always worry! This hobby may bring almost-free travel but it is still not worry-free! My main worries – schedule changes that will mess up a many segment award ticket and how best to pack for where I am going – and that include whether checked bags could get lost.
No worries… Yet 🙂
I don’t particularly worry that something is going to happen to my bag.
I worry about leaving something behind that I took out of the bag. That’s more likely than leaving the entire bag behind.
Only when I check it!
Yes… but very little.
However, if I had to rank the Big 5 Luggage worries from Least worried to Most this is how it would look.
1) Lost: sort of…but my credit card pays for lost luggage.
2) Stolen: my credit card also pays for stolen luggage.
3) Pilfered: funny thing is that nothing was missing except my lock when it did happen years ago.
4) Damaged: someone at the airline is going to get an angry Tweet from me.
5) Peed on by an Airport Security Dog: unlikely, but you never know.
Of course! I worry that it open up and something I care about will fall out!
That my bag is damaged beyond repair and I have to buy a new one. I can’t afford the expensive B&R bags and my company does not reimburse for luggage – even though I only use the bag for work….
Always worried the luggage will be damaged or lost
I don’t really worry about my bag, though I try to have the basic necessities with me when I am required to check in my cabin bag. For all the years of traveling, I have never lost a bag, though there have been a few delays once in a while.
I own there B&R items, so I only worry about my bags being lost. I know if there is any damage Briggs & Riley will stand behind their warranty.
It depends…is the TSA going to touch it while not in my view? Then yes.
I used to but realize it is out of my hands. My luggage isn’t nearly as nice as B&R so maybe that helps.
I don’t worry at all.
Yes, I do.
absolutely…. given how baggage handlers LLLLOOOOVVVVEEEE their jobs…
Never seriously worry about anything getting stolen since that hasn’t happened to us (yet); but we’ve had bags get off a plane in a lot worse shape than when we checked them in. Like literally falling-apart bad. I especially worry that we’ll get a bag off a plane in the beginning of a trip that is no longer usable (that’s also happened to use before).
I don’t worry when carrying on… However,,, my biggest fear is when I take my expensive carry on luggage and have to check it… I fear it will get banged up and will not last as long when going through the rigors of baggage handling
I don’t worry about what I can’t control.
I typically only use a carry-on, as I definitely worry when I have to check luggage. I don’t mind so much if my luggage gets banged up a bit but I definitely worry about it being lost!
Of course!
Damaged luggage
Spoilt luggage.
Nah, too many other things to worry about!
I always think something’s going to happen (and lots of it has, especially when I check bags)–misplaced, lost, damaged, even had the [tumi] tag ripped off of one! But I don’t really worry about it, just assume it will happen.
IN the words of Alfred E Neuman, “What, me worry?”
I worry about the zippers — they’re always first to break.
Yes I worry. “Don’t Worry, He Happy” does not apply to me sometimes.
Life is too short to worry!
Not-really!
Yes I worry. They lost my bag on the way to Europe and we spent the week going back and forth to Amsterdam because it was “due the next day” Never did get it and finally bought some clothes and continued the trip!
Yes, yes, yes I worry – and no, it does no good!
Nope. Never worry about my luggage since its not that great to begin with!
Really don’t worry about my luggage unless they lose it!
I always worry, and all too often, rightfully so.
I sometimes worry about my luggage but mostly I worry about the stuff in it. Airlines tend to enjoy losing my bags when I check them.
Yes.
Not so much.
Don’t worry, be happy!
I always worry that my checked luggage’s latch/zipper will “pop” open and everything will fall out! My carry-on, no worries, though a functional and comfortable bag is certainly welcomed. Hint hint!
I always worry that something will happen to my bags.
Depends what’s checked whether worry.
I worry enough that I don’t check anything of value.
Yes, I worry that contents will be pilfered.
I worry that someone else will pick up my bag, so I put stickers all over it to make it as unique as possible.
