I’ve been using this for a couple months now. It’s designed to look like a broswer-based version of MS Outlook, and it’s implemented client-side, so it’s fast like GMail.
In most ways it’s a huge improvement, but some part of me still likes the original old-school server-side Yahoo Mail interface, and I still find myself using it sometimes. (Once you’re in the Beta test you can use either interface interchangeably.)
