Apparently there was a Hurricane or storm on Thursday affecting many landings at DUS Düsseldorf airport in Germany: “Storm/Hurricane Friederike with up to 63 Knots Crosswind and 20 go arounds”.

Only the Emirates Airbus 380 made it look easy.
All of the other pilots need to be promoted to the next grade up in aircraft. I would fly with them any day.
The headline about BA is somewhat misleading. The simply use of the word “Government” suggests the UK government which would be more newsworthy than the Ghanaian one to be blunt.
Nice post. I agree they should be studied more. I have severe reaction to them. and I have turned my room upside down searching for them. I only find one at a time. The most I ever found at once was two nymphs. I found three eggs and destroyed them.
But once in a while if I come to bed late there will be one sitting on my pillow waiting for me. It is disturbing. I catch them with tape and seal the tape around them then squish them inside the sealed piece of tape. I am killing them one by one. I cannot find an actual nest or large group of them. This is very disturbing to me. I have basically become afraid of every dot I see anywhere. My arms or leg or part of body, where just one bite is, often becomes inflamed. sometimes my arm or back looked deformed.
I would like the government to help out with a real solution or at least a way to make them infertile.
That is my question, I don’t know about bed bugs, do they need a mate? Or can one alone do the job of infestation over a short period of time?
Nice post. I am so on board with public knowledge of these things. The more people know about them.. the more they can be prepared at home. If someone has them at home… & goes somewhere else to stay the night, you have a problem. I have been told to put items in the dryer to shock them with heat.. it kills them. For many of us with young children, I tell everyone I talk to about Bed bugs. Prevention is going to the be the number one defense against these… the next defense is preparation. I have bad bags on all of my mattresses as well as box springs. I have had an exterminator come out 1 full blown time.. & 1 time following to spot treat. I am still holding my breath to see if we are completely free.. but what does that mean? If someone brings them in again.. it’s back to square one. KNOWLEDGE… I sent phamplets to the kids’ school to pass them out… Parents & grandparents need to know about this… so we can be prepared.
