Qatar Airways is the largest owner of IAG, parent company of British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and Vueling. When british Airways was confronted with strikes Qatar lent Airbus narrowbodies with their much better product, to the surprise and delight of BA customers used to a lesser product.
Qatar says they may come to BA’s rescue again as work is done on the Heathrow-based carriers Boeing 787s due to issues with the Rolls Royce engines on the aircraft type.

She left items on a plane, and was hoping to talk to someone at the airport, but was frustrated by the agent on the phone directing her to file a claim online (“I did say a not nice thing to him as I was hanging up the phone.”)

American Airlines announced today that they are ending their Chicago – Beijing flight in October, adding new flights to Hawaii and the Caribbean, and swapping out London flying with their joint venture partner British Airways (which has implications for quality of product and upgrades).

British Airways has finally joined PreCheck.
Notably though that’s not a help at New York JFK where terminal 7 doesn’t currently have PreCheck. Hopefully British Airways passengers with PreCheck will be afforded expedited screening.

Hopper unveiled new ‘secret fares’ today that are provided by airlines and lower than what carriers offer customers on their own websites.
They’re touting fares up to 35% off and savings of up to $500 per ticket, with deals available “on over 60,000 routes to international destinations like Tokyo, Melbourne, Paris, Barcelona, Rio De Janeiro, and Costa Rica.”

Last month I wrote that a new Minute Suites was about to open in Charlotte. I suggested that since the existing Minute Suites locations accept Priority Pass, that this one would too. It would be the first Priority Pass lounge in the Charlotte airport.
However Minute Suites opened but didn’t take Priority Pass. They do tomorrow and they just schooled Priority Pass about it..
