Delta Flight Grounded When Passenger Finds Wrong Safety Card In Seat Back Pocket

Retired Delta Airlines captain Karlene Petitt, who had a long-running dispute with her airline over her fitness to fly reported that a pilot from another airline, flying on Delta, noticed that the plane had incorrect safety briefing cards in the seat back pocket.

The flight was operated by a Boeing 757, but there were some seats with cards for a Boeing 737. The flight had to be delayed, eventually 10 incorrect cards were found, and fortunately this was in Atlanta and they had the correct cards to replace them with – otherwise the plane could not fly.

Premium In Name Only: Delta Air Lines Testing Customer Reaction To Higher Fees, Lower Rewards

Delta Air Lines has moved to spending only as a metric for earning status. And they’re considering no longer awarding full credit for your spending, unless you buy more expensive fares. That’s one lesson of a new product survey they’re sending to frequent flyers that helps them sort through how much extra customers will pay to earn qualifying dollars.

Other ideas being tested include bringing back change fees unless customers buy up to a more expensive fare and return of fees for getting help from reservations, with free assistance via chat features only.

Delta Pilot Yanks And Kicks Lavatory Door, Trying To Rescue Passenger Trapped Inside For 35 Minutes

A Delta Air Lines passenger got stuck in the lavatory for 35 minutes on a flight from Salt Lake City to New Orleans recently, as flight attendants and a pilot struggle mightily to free him.

Lavatory man’s wife and two toddlers were waiting for him to return to his seat. She began to wonder what happened after five minutes. After ten minutes, their four year old became impatient for daddy. She overheard a flight attendant talking about a passenger being “stuck.”

Delta Air Lines Check-in Was Halted At London Heathrow As Agents Threatened To Seize Plane Over $3,400 Debt

Bailiffs sought to collect a $3,400 refund that had been owed to a passenger for a couple of years. The customer had obtained a court writ, and the agents are empowered to seize a company’s property to satisfy the debt. They can seize planes. They’re shown planning to halt check-in and ground aircraft unless Delta paid.
