Viral Video Shows Drunk American Airlines Passenger Denied Boarding

Video circulating in social media shows a man being denied boarding on an American Airlines flight at Dallas – Fort Worth because he’s reportedly drunk. He complains that he’s trying to fly to see his fiance, slurring his words about a non-refundable ticket and asking over and over “why I can’t go?”

He eventually gives up, realizing he won’t be allowed to board. It’s an incident in 3 acts, and three videos. The first shows the confrontation with the gate agent. The second shows him hunched over his carry on near gate A9. And the third shows him being taken away by police.

How Well Do Masks Work When You Travel?

Perhaps the greatest challenge with Covid-19 has been its infectiousness prior to presenting with symptoms. In generally people with symptomatic Covid are most infectious in the two days prior to showing symptoms and the three days after.

There’s a lot of debate over how effective masks are, and to conflate the different types of masks. What’s important is to continually look at new evidence and update priors when warranted.

Will Kabul Airport Get A Priority Pass Lounge Now That The U.S. Has Left?

U.S. forces left Afghanistan, with their last position held at the Kabul airport. There was much reporting on the airport being effectively abandoned based on a ‘notice to airmen’ that the airport was uncontrolled. That’s not an entirely uncommon situation. And there are already plans in place for a Turkish-Qatari consortium to manage the airport. Turkish control means o good chance of a Priority Pass lounge in Kabul.
