Reader Giveaway: Free Stay With Breakfast at the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires

The Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is a great city hotel, set in an upscale neighbor apart from the hustle and bustle of the city and just a few blocks from the Four Seasons. There are two separate buildings, connected via underground walkway or outside through the garden. There’s the original Palacio and there’s a new tower. I’ve really enjoyed staying there.

The hotel itself is stunning, modern and minimalist for the bulk of the property and yet it blends well with its exterior and palace heritage. In a way it’s a Park Hyatt the way that I’ve come to expect throughout the Asia Pacific, it’s an oasis in a city like Buenos Aires

Service at the hotel in general was outstanding. The front desk staff were extremely friendly.

And I’m giving away a stay at this Park Hyatt to a reader — read on! I’m helping to give away 2 nights here inclusive of breakfast.

Enjoy a 2-night stay for 2 guests in a Park Deluxe King Room at the five-star Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires located in the heart of the French heritage district of Recoleta, including daily breakfast at Gioia Restaurant & Terraces plus full access to Ahin Wellness & Spa, valued at approximately $1,500 USD / £1,160 GBP

This is a very special giveaway, thanks to my good friends at Luxury Travel Diary. Regular readers know them as a high-end travel blog with great reviews. They’re based in the UK and run travel auctions with real bargains.

As I’ve said before, folks who already know about these auctions don’t like this added attention, because there don’t seem to be enough bidders for many of their best offerings relative to the value available. Some of their items go way too cheap.

This prize is being given away by the hotel and Luxury Travel Diary, I’m just helping to highlight it and randomly select the winner.

To enter: leave a comment on this post with your favorite item up for auction at Luxury Travel Diary, or why you would choose to stay at Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. You may enter two times if you wish and answer those two questions one time each in separate comments.

Contest deadline and drawing winner: Entries close Saturday, September 9 at Noon eastern. I will draw winner with the assistance of random.org.

The fine print: Advance booking is required and it’s subject to availability. Terms and conditions apply. Winner will have one week to respond to email notifying of the prize, otherwise the prize will be forfeit and made available to another reader.

For avoidance of doubt, I have no affiliation with Luxury Travel Diary or Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. I am not getting anything in exchange for running this giveaway other than an opportunity to share the place with readers.

The hotel is solely responsible for providing prize to winner. All decisions made in the course of running this giveaway are final and unappealable and your entry signifies your acceptance. The goal here is to make readers aware of a pretty cool auction opportunity, and to give away a stay. So please don’t make it hard on me for doing so!

  1. My favorite item up for auction is the 2 nights at Viceroy Bali Luxury Villas in Ubud, Indonesia.

  2. Why you would choose to stay at Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires: Location, Location, Location. Recoleta is a great area in Buenos Aires.

  3. I have been pondering a trip to Argentina since I haven’t been there. The Palacio could tilt that temptation.

  4. I’d choose to stay at the Park Hyatt because I’ve spent so much time in the courtyard there and sleeping at the hotel would be so much more convenient to that courtyard. BA is a magnificent city with so much to offer, and yet I can’t think of nothing so relaxing as sitting all day in that courtyard with a book and a bottle of Malbec, or playing cards with friends with a bottle of Malbec or doing nothing but drinking a bottle of Malbec. That hotel is stunning.

  5. As for which item currently up for auction, I’d say the hotel at Vic Falls in Zimbabwe. I’m determined to see all the great waterfalls of the world, and that one is high on my list.

  6. I would like to stay at PH Buenos Aires because it’s the best hotel in my home country, Argentina !

  7. I like how the PD Buenos Aires combines Palace architecture with contemporary and it has a garden.

  8. My wife and I stayed at the Miravida SoHo in BA for our honey moon and have been talking about when we would make it back. Staying at the Park Hyatt would be a great reason.

  18. I’ll be in Buenos Aires for Christmas/New Years (and my birthday the day after Christmas), I would love to stay here to make it a really special birthday

  19. Why Park Hyatt BA? Because my wife is reluctant about a holiday in Japan at present. She thinks the Man with Mad Haircut (I think she’s referring to Kim Jung-un, though perhaps she is referring to Donald?) will start a nuclear Armageddon in the neighbourhood. So I joked ‘Fine – we’ll go to Buenos Aires then. – we should be able to avoid the nuclear fallout there.’ Now she’s mumbling about the time zones (very hard to please, at times, my wife) … but the Park Hyatt in a sophisticated city. If that doesn’t do the trick, nothing will…..

  20. I would like to go to the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires because all my fellow teachers get exceptionally jealous of the travel that my husband finagles with miles and points, so Buenos Aires would be a natural pick for Spring Break. Plus I bet BA is lovely in late March
