American Airlines is eliminating Flagship First Class in favor of more business and premium economy seats on its fleet of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The end of first class on the last U.S. carrier to offer it internationally is sad to me, but the project has been pushed back. As American has planned to wind down the offering, they’ve really let the product slide.

American Airlines Flew A 777 To Hong Kong for New Luxury Suites—After A Month, The Seats Came Back Untouched

American Airlines launched gorgeous new fully enclosed business-class suites but has delayed retrofitting its existing Boeing 777-300ER fleet due to severe supply chain issues. After sending a prototype aircraft to Hong Kong for retrofitting, the airline abruptly returned the plane to the U.S. untouched, indefinitely postponing the highly anticipated upgrade.
