American Airlines Flight Attendant Assaulted After Smacking Passenger’s Phone

An American Airline flight attendant apparently had his luggage spread on a bench at the Charlotte airport, and a passenger asked if he’d move his belongings to make a spot. The passenger says that the man’s partner “started getting on my case.”

She took out the phone to record the flight attendant’s indifference – impolite, perhaps but not illegal – and the crewmember “knocked [the] phone to the ground.” And, the woman says, her husband “did what he did.”

Broken American Airlines Seats Forces Elite Flyer Next To Meth Head

Gate agents are asked to do more with less than ever before. During the pandemic, American moved to single agent boarding where narrowbody aircraft that are less than 80% full get just one gate agent rather than two. They have to make all of the announcements, deal with standbys and upgrades, check boarding passes at the gate, and also deal with gate checking bags. They’re supposed to do passenger breath checks, too?

And they’re going to get called in if the flight pushes back even one minute late. No time to notice if a passenger is high on meth!

New Long Haul Destinations American Airlines To Add In 2025 And 2026

Last week I wrote that American Airlines plans to serve more premium international destinations starting in 2025 and into 2026. That’s once they’ve taken delivery of new Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which they ordered in 2018 and have been delayed.

Senior Vice President of Network Planning told employees recently that these planes change the airline’s calculus.
