“Bye Karen!” Passengers Yell As Mask Refusenik Escorted Off Flight By Cops

Dec 05 2020

Fox & Friends writer Griffin Frank shared video of a passenger confronted by a Frontier Airlines employee over their refusal to wear a mask on board.

The passenger would probably have gotten away with ignoring the mask request, and been on her way, but while the employee was still in earshot she started cursing. And that’s what got her removed, a ban from the airline, and a round of applause and “Goodbye Karen”‘s from other passengers as she was booted from the flight.

Man Attacks National Guard At San Juan Airport, Declares “It’s Gonna Be All On Social Media”

Nov 29 2020

Last Saturday evening a Puerto Rico National Guard soldier was attacked by an arriving passenger after the guardsman asked the man to wear a mask and fill out a Covid-19 health declaration. The man, who reportedly smelled of alcohol, objected to the mask and health form requirement – and other passengers and local health care workers in protective gear dove for cover to stay out of the way of his objections.

When the man was arrested he yelled, “It’s gonna be all on social media.” That’s true, but perhaps not in the exculpatory way he’d hoped.

Mask Disputes On Planes Are Set To Skyrocket By Late Winter

Nov 21 2020

Once so many people have either had Covid-19 or been vaccinated against it that it’s equally likely that someone is vulnerable to it as not, restrictions on those who aren’t vulnerable to the virus (and therefore cannot spread it) are going to be harder to maintain. We’re going to see more people rebelling against mask requirements on planes in late March than we’ve seen so far.

You’ll Still Have To Wear Masks On Planes Even When There’s A Vaccine

Nov 02 2020

A first generation vaccine, unless it turns out to be both highly effective and widely taken, won’t end the pandemic on its own. I wrote back in early summer that a first generation vaccine, on its own, probably wouldn’t get us out of the pandemic but combined with other measures would make life – and travel – more normal than it used to be. We now have a new study, with new math, backing up this view.

How effective these first vaccines turn out to be, combined with how many people take them, will drive when mask mandates go away. A ‘vaccine only’ isn’t going to do it. We’re going to be stuck wearing masks on planes for some time.

Brawl Breaks Out In The Aisle Of Puerto Rico Flight As Police Board To Tase The Aggressor

Oct 27 2020

On Monday evening Spirit Airlines flight NK2322 from Newark to San Juan broke out in a major fight throughout the cabin over a passenger not wearing a mask. What’s remarkable is the extent of the brawl, and that it happened upon landing in Puerto Rico, rather than prior to departure. The woman who wouldn’t wear a mask was ultimately tased by police who responded to the brawl.
