You should register even if you don’t have any Hilton stays planned this year because one might crop up, and you will never remember to go back and register later.
What qualifies as the ‘first stay’ during the promotion period matters since earning starts only with the second stay. If you had a long stay planned, indeed at one of the properties being extra-bonused, you might even want to mattress run a stay in advance of it to make that your second stay rather than your first.

There’s no current first quarter promotion from Hyatt that all members can take advantage of across their brands. However Hyatt is running a series of targeted promotions. You can check whether you’re eligible, and offers include free night certificates, suite upgrade awards, bonus points and triple points.
Hilton’s new promotion: is double points on all stays with checkouts by December 31 plus 2000 bonus points for checkouts on a weekday. In addition Hilton is offering double elite night credit for nights stayed October 11 – December 31, 2022. You need to register for both, award stays count, and the offers tell us something about business travel and loyalty right at this moment.
IHG One Rewards calls their fall promotion ‘pick your points payoff’ for the alliteration but I think of it more as ‘choose your own adventure’. You actually choose which of two promotions to register for, and you can only have one or the other.
American Airlines is incenvitizing people to join the program, which is something you used to see a lot more of. They aren’t just giving away free miles (too costly and too easy to game). Instead they’re bonusing customers for joining and tranascting. Because the two things that make you a valuable customers are getting in the habit of transacting and redeeming miles.
Hotels are full and hotel promotions are less generous. But since we’re past the packed summer months, with kids back in school, we at least do have hotel promotions. Marriott is now out with theirs for stays between September 21 and December 15.
You should register now – while the offer is in front of you, so you don’t forget and in case you happen to have any Hilton stays – because you can earn double points between September 6 – December 31, 2022 and you’ll also earn 2000 additional bonus points on all stays that end Monday through Friday.
With summer ending, kids going back to school, and corporate travel not yet fully returned Hyatt is out with a new offer. It’s not as generous systemwide as what we’ve seen in the past, but it’s something, and it includes a kicker to push awareness and program engagement with their new broad portfolio of all-inclusive properties.
