With summer ending, kids going back to school, and corporate travel not yet fully returned Hyatt is out with a new offer. It’s not as generous systemwide as what we’ve seen in the past, but it’s something, and it includes a kicker to push awareness and program engagement with their new broad portfolio of all-inclusive properties.

IHG One Rewards is offering up to quadruple points on stays May 18 – August 31, 2022. There’s additional bonus points for credit card customers, too.
Hilton is offering double points on one and two night stays, and triple points on stays of three or more nights, May 2 – September 5, 2022. Registration required and you should do that now.
There’s no minimum stay required and the bonus applies to your first stay, so there’s no nonsense like only bonusing you starting with your second or third stay.
Hyatt will run a 25% off sale between March 15 and March 22 for stays running April 1 – May 31, 2022. And the deal is even better outside the U.S. because in addition to 25% off the Daily Rate, it comes with free meals and discounts too.
Marriott is out with their first gambit: to make elite status-earning easier in 2022: double elite qualifying nights, and 1000 bonus points per night, February 8 – May 4, 2022.
When American Airlines ran a holiday promotion in conjunction with Mastercard on their joint venture SimplyMiles website, I went all-in. They offered sextuple miles on all offers, and the most lucrative was unlimited 40 miles per dollar donating to Conservation International – a charity Mastercard was raising money for.
That meant earning 240 miles per dollar, or buying miles at $0.0042 apiece. I did 7 million miles. That’s hardly ‘the most’ anyone went for. I know of several readers who did more than me. One reported earning 12 million miles with this promotion.
You should definitely register for the promotion – and do it now – because even if you aren’t planning to stay at all with Hilton during the first four months of 2022, you might find yourself surprised (perhaps you get stuck overnight at an airport!) and you’ll never remember to go back later and register. So get that part over with, because earning the bonus is better than not earning the bonus.
I wrote a little over a week ago that Hyatt would announce a new promotion of 2022 bonus points every 2 nights, Jan 15 – April 20. And they’re doing exactly that. One piece I didn’t share was an additional bonus for Hyatt co-brand credit card customers.
