Hilton’s Fall Promo: Earn Up To Triple Points (Register Now)

Hilton is offering double points in all markets, and triple points in select cities, September 6 through December 31. Register now.

  • Double points is where Hilton has traditionally been with promotions. They need to offer double points, because Honors is the least rewarding program and with the least generous status benefits (although status is easy to earn, and spend at Hilton using their premium co-brand is lucrative).

  • But they haven’t been as generous as double points lately, as travel has roared back. Travel has been slowing down, and traditionally scales back with back to school (and isn’t fully offset by corporate business travel at this point).

Triple points is offered in cities like New York; Chicago; San Francisco; Los Angeles; Las Vegas; Tokyo; Bangkok and many many others.. About 1,500 hotels are listed as eligible for triple points.

You should register even if you don’t have any Hilton stays planned this year because one might crop up, and you will never remember to go back and register later. I hadn’t planned a Hilton stay during this most recent promo and didn’t remember to check if I was registered for any current promotion until I was at the property. Luckily I had registered when the offer came out (and I told everyone that they should do so).

Triple points actually becomes quite generous at premium Hilton properties that are part of the Hilton Impresario program, where that comes with double points, like I earned at Crockfords in Las Vegas this month. (Book through a travel advisor that’s part of the Impresario program like TravelZork.)

Resorts World Las Vegas Includes 3 Hilton Properties: Hilton, Conrad, and Crockfords

I value Hilton points at 4/10ths of a cent apiece and base earn in the program is 10 points per dollar, so this means an extra 4% – 8% return on your hotel spend with the chain. That’s a worthwhile offer.

  1. I don’t know what to make of that list of participating hotels – it includes “The Madison Washington DC, a Hilton Hotel” – that hotel is currently a Marriott affiliate and hasn’t been a Hilton for quite some time.

  2. @Bob Apparently Hilton is generously offering to give triple points on Marriott properties. Triples is best. Triples makes it safe.

Just like Trump’s claims that his landslide victory in 2020 was stolen won’t suddenly change the fact tyat he lost and is now a 4-time indicted “former guy”, neither will the quoted claims become true no matter how many times they are cut and pasted, and recycled.
