  1. The real constraint at JFK isn’t runways it’s ATC. JFK has roughly the same runway configuration as SFO. SFO on any normal day uses all four on their runways. By contrast at JFK the best they will do right now is 3 runways. So unless and until that changes adding another runway isn’t going to help.

    But the above is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to JFK ATC’s level of incompetence.

    Before that clown Ghouliani decided his buds needed a sweet AirTrain contract you could get seamlessly from Manhattan via JFK Express subway train to JFK, where you transferred to a free shuttle bus. Nope, that was just too efficient so it had to be destroyed.
