100 (or More) Free AAdvantage Miles for Liking American Airlines on Facebook

Via Ben, American Airlines will give between 100 and 100,000 miles to everyone who likes them on Facebook. Most, including me, will get 100 miles.

Go here, hit Like, and then the next screen will ask you for your AAdvantage number.

  1. Apparently my AA number is invalid 🙁

News to me. I have an old one so perhaps their business logic is faulty.

  2. Actually getting anything over 21,000 would suck as you will get a 1099 from citi who values AA miles at 2.75 cpm. So 100k would have you paying $2750 in taxes

  3. I don’t have issues with promo’s that direct you to the sponsoring company’s site or requires you to provide some information, but I dislike these types of promotions as it forces you to join/subscribe to a third party social networking site to participate.

  4. Didn’t work for me, as after I pressed the like button, the “page cannot be dispalyed” error came up.

guess i “liked” them for nothing 🙁

  5. I’ve tried the facebook ‘like’ several times and have never received any miles. It doesn’t even ask me for my Aadvantage account number. This is a scam and so are free miles from 1=800-flowers. Nobody honors their own offers any more.
