Luxury Travel Diary, a high-end travel blog with great reviews based in the UK, has a bunch of travel auctions — some about to close, others extend into October — and there look to be some real bargains.

Prize: a three-night stay in a luxury apartment in Knightsbridge, London at The Ovington Elegance – subject to availability, stay by April 28 (excluding December 25-27, December 31-January, and March 25-26).

Hmmm … tough to choose favorite auction. I’ll go with the Airds Hotel auction, because it looks like a comfortable property and the Highlands are absolutely beautiful.
I’d select the Ovington Elegance because, as a father of a child with a serious food allergy, it would be much safer to cook our own food on vacation than eat out and risk restaurant errors three times a day. With several groceries and a pharmacy right down the street, this would be perfect. Plus, the central location would cut down on travel time/difficulties inherent in moving about with a small child.
