• Singapore Airlines will update its remaining Airbus A380s not being parked to new interiors a strong signal that the largest plane in the sky will fly again.

  

• These huge targeted bonuses make me regret that I’ve actually been spending money on my one Barclays credit card this year. I’d have earned way more miles with way less spend if I’d have sock-drawered my AAdvantage Aviator Silver card. No ‘60,000 miles after $3000 spend by January 31’ offer for this existing cardmember. Sigh.

  

• Singapore Airlines cabin crew open new ‘Kevin Khoo’ bistro because in Singlish cabin crew often comes out sounding like Kevin Khoo, like there’s flight one flight attendant named Kevin doing all the work (‘Kevin Khoo arm doors, Kevin Khoo prepare for departure…’).

• Doctor Who Called Delta Pilot “Bipolar” Surrenders Medical License

• Revenue and profits are up at cargo carrier Atlas Air compared to before the pandemic but they pretty much laugh when asked if they’ll “return $406 million in emergency coronavirus aid the U.S. government intended for financially battered airlines to retain workers.” That payroll support money sure was a good investment, eh?

• A new Four Seasons could come to.. Jacksonville? (HT: @istrakhov)

• Last month I wrote about union AMFA trying to raid mechanics at American Airlines. AMFA now says they have enough signatures to force an election if certified by the National Mediation Board.

  American’s mechanics just signed a new agreement, ratified by about 90% of their members. However they never managed to secure single representation after the American-US Airways merger, instead forming an ‘association’ between the legacy unions representing each. The new contract provides richer health benefits to legacy US Airways workers for a period of years as they transition into American’s standard program.
