- While some people defend the greyburger, United’s current business class food is probably the worst across the Atlantic.
And the winner is #unitedAIRLINES Worst food on an airplane, ever. In business class. UA53 from Zurich to Washington Dulles Oct 26, 2022. Lunch burger which could be used as a blunt weapon. Turn up the sound #airplanefood #lunch #badfood pic.twitter.com/1mCKtXzNrN

- Delta 3 million miler abandons the airline for American after her usual carrier refuses a checked bag 4 minutes past the cutoff time. American, for its part, will take bags 3 minutes after the published cutoff time.

- Capital One November transfer bonuses of 20% to British Airways and to Accor not deals I’d jump on for their own sake, but helpful if you’re considering a transfer anyway.
I love the idea of flying Turkish, especially with the new business-class, but I don’t see the practicality in flying to Turkey to backtrack to Paris, London or anywhere else in Western Europe. And if United ever expands its relationship with Emirates, I think I would take Emirates over Turkish if I’m flying international first-class.
Feed that burger to a guy named Matthew Klint. He not only digs it, but also thinks it’s pretty good…
55K miles RT in a currency that few have and is almost impossible to get makes this offer moot. It might as well be priced in Yap stone money.
What are the “fuel surcharge” amounts on the LH mileage tickets?
They can be so ugly that using LH miles becomes a liability at times.
TK is great for having dinner in the EU, then catching AMS-IST-ORD so as to arrive fully rested for noon lunch meetings in downtown Chicago.
What is the *best* business class transatlantic food and wine — of airlines that have more than 2 transatlantic flights a day as otherwise Singapore or Emirates would obviously win? Air France? Turkish? Delta?
Emirates- they have 26 US flights a day.
If you don’t want to consider Middle Eastern airlines, then probably Air France. I’m partial to Swiss- they generally have superior service, decent food, and Zurich is a dream to connect.
Delta is marginally superior to United or American for the US carriers, but it’s kinda like saying which is better, McDonalds, Burger King or Wendys? They’re all kind of meh, and it really depends on if you hit the right crew or fresh food…
Sorry, Emirates has 26 trans-Atlantic flights- 13 to the States, 13 back, since they have daily service to 13 portal cities.
As C_M notes, no credit cards transfer miles to Miles and More. And LH usually does not make its business class seats available for mileage on other *A partner websites (though there are some exceptions – particularly at the last week or two). So their offer is mostly only available to people who regularly fly LH or put a lot of spend on their own card.
Without a doubt, UA has the worst on board business class food on any major airline. I like Air France and Austrian. I’ve also had some great meals on KLM and BA (which uses DO&CO like Austrian and Turkish), both of which I think are underappreciated. I’ve never flown TK, just because the Istanbul stopover adds too much time US to EU.
Is it cement ,a united airlines tire or a gasp petrifed wooden burger?
Couldn’t united be sued for breaking someone’s teeth?
I do wish more international planes would fly in and out of BNA. We are a worldwide destination, and at present we have the highest hotel rates in the country. And only BA flies in and out. Won’t comment on that. But PLEASE….ADD BNA.
Lufthansa miles are impossible to accrue. They might prevent me from going forth to my destination if I look like a Jew. Must wear a mask until April 23. Credit cards have no bonus earning options. Other than that, Miles & More is a fantastic program.
It’s a little surprising that a 3 million mile passenger can’t flash a super status card and get a small bending of the rules. At the same time, I’d expect a 3 million mile passenger to be traveling for business and would know better than needing to check a bag. I’d be surprised if she switches allegiance for more than that single flight.
