Southwest Airlines is running an award sale offering 25% off of flight redemptions – but you have to book by Wednesday, May 17 to take advantage of the discount. This promotion will apply to all awards booked using promo code J4SAVE for travel July 3-7, 2023.
It’s a great opportunity to look at the pricing of any Southwest Airlines award tickets booked for travel over 4th of July. Award prices are based on the current paid fare, so may be higher or lower. In fact since you can always cancel a Southwest award for no fee after booking, you should check back once you’ve booked a ticket to see whether the price has gone down – cancel and rebook if it has in order to save Rapid Rewards points.
And since Southwest awards are fully cancellable this 25% off sale is a good opportunity to book any speculative travel you may think you have over that week – take advantage of the current discount and if you wind up not traveling just cancel the booking in advance.
