About as I figured with the NYC area being the cause of many airline delays.
Ex- airline supervisor here. I used to have to clean RONs. We were trained to NEVER stick our hands in a seat pocket without looking first. I know of at least one guy who was cleaning a TWA RON, stuck his hand in a pocket without looking, and pulled it out with a used hypodermic needle in his hand. This was back in the 80s when the AIDs crisis was roaring along.
Just don’t.
“Bet he won’t steal a rental again”? I bet you’re wrong. I bet he was out of jail in a matter of hours, and back to being a thief. Criminals don’t just find a new line of work, especially, when there are little consequences to being a criminal.
@greggb57 … In the Middle East , it would be a scorpion . In Asia , it would be a viper snake . In Africa , it would be a monkey . In Washington , it would be a lawyer .
Random story… I had an early morning flight on 9/11 to NYC when I was 18… We were served bananas as snacks but for some reason I remember my friend and I taking the bananas and smashing them in the seat pocket..
Gary, while the Austin airport loses flights, take solace in the fact it has a nice airport. Those of us in CLT will continue to endure our airport in exchange for its outsized service.
