News and notes from around the interweb:
- Inspectors find bed bugs at Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, Resorts World. Bed bugs were previously reported at Circus Circus, “Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, Palazzo, Tropicana, MGM Grand, and Sahara.”
Earlier this year, a man reported being stung in the testicles while sleeping at the Venetian and once the recently-demolished Tropicana paid a $25 bounty for each bed bug that housekeepers brought in alive.
Bellagio Fountains - Oh man.
SRQ has suffered the loss of its entire roof over concourse B that covers the screening checkpoint, and all 13 aircraft loading gates⛈️

- Which Thompson is he talking about?
Nobody will make late night hotel switches like me. Bad pillows, too much street noise, see ya. I'll pull the plug and leave a Hotel anytime, anyplace, anywhere. Thompson hotel is out. Ive had quieter rooms in the middle of Manhattan.

- Traveler gets bad service from a flight attendant, and assumes it’s because he’s gay and not because it’s United and then sues.
- This is a problem up north, too.

Dave Portnoy is talking about Thompson Dallas for his subpar stay.
An airline flight attendant (male or female) discriminating against a guy for being gay when the vast majority of of male FAs are is ludicrous. Lawsuit will be summarily dismissed. Hard to show bias against gays when a significant percentage of their front line employees are gay
Have to ask. Do the gentiles work at the airport to clean and do maintenance on Saturday.
That gay pax sounds more like he was treated like he was a Karen rather than being discriminated against.
Hate when the gay hate card is brought up when the person is just a batch
I will kill all the bedbugs …don’t even pay me until they are all dead…just let me get em I promise I can do it. If you don’t it’s your loss.
This is an old story which has been told about stays in hotels and trips on trains, but it works for airlines too.
Someone is in a (place) and is bitten by bedbugs. He writes an angry letter to the management and gets back a very apologetic message. “We’re sorry, it has never happened before. This is awful, we feel terrible…etc.” The guest is satisfied until he sees a note stuck to the bottom, “Send the bedbug letter.”
The next time you write a complaint and get back a nice reply from the provider remember, they have a good stock of bedbug letters on hand.
The bug bounty is an amazing idea and the only way you’ll actually keep them out. Hotels should do that all the time.
