When a passenger drapes their hair over the back of their seat, so that it covers the entertainment screen of the passenger behind them who has to look at hair the entire flight, their seat opponent sits and stews, wondering what they did to deserve this – and how to get even?
Some speak up directly and just say “excuse me” while others enlist the help of a flight attendant. The rest dream of ways to go vigilante – pulling the hair, using scissors, dipping it in coffee or sticking in gum. But this fantasy almost never amounts to much.
There’s another vigilante approach, and somebody actually did it – rather than just having a revenge fantasy about it. One woman woke up on a flight and discovered her hair had been braided and she had no idea who did it: ‘I need you to come forth immediately.’
She shared what happened to her on an American Airlines Charlotte – Los Angeles flight in a TikTok, explaining that she sleeps deeply on planes (“I hibernate..as soon as the plane takes off, I’m knocked out”).
The woman didn’t realize what had happened until she reached her Airbnb. I guess she didn’t stop in the lavatory or the airport restroom on the way. And she wonders who thought this was ok?
I just need you to come forward and discuss why you thought it was okay to braid a woman’s hair while she was asleep. Don’t touch people’s heads or people while they’re asleep. It’s weird and it’s creepy. Don’t touch people in general that you don’t know.

The question, I think, was what was she doing that caused the passenger behind her to do this as revenge..?

Drape your hair over the back of the seat, fall asleep knowing you don’t wake easily ( so you don’t know if they tried ), didn’t even notice until you arrived at your airbnb; you had a coming for walking through life like the world revolves around you. Quit crying!
You “need”?
So can you explain why anybody “needs” to listen to you?
I LIKE IT
Why do we care you know when people drape their hair over someone else’s seat then what do you expect? She’s lucky somebody putting gum in her hair or something. JS
Was the braiding done nicely?
Well, why don’t you tell me why you think you are entitled to hang your hair into my FOOD and coffee??
GROSS and UNSANITARY, sista
“I just need you to come forth and discuss…”
Yeah, right. As if the person who did it actually watches you on TikTok, and will actually engage you.
And what will you do when it doesn’t occur?
And why is it OK for you to drape your hair into someone else’s semi-personal space? Discuss that.
Presumptuous.
She says she sleeps so deeply on an airplane. It’s like hibernation, andShe sleeps through someone braiding her hair, but she’s awakened by the sound of a cell phone taking a picture?
She says she knows who the person who did this is, but she “needs quote them to come forward?
She’s not as intelligent as she is hungry for attention
Sounds as fake as the woman that claimed she didn’t get a first class meal on American because the flight attendant was racist and denied her a meal.
You’re lucky that’s all that happened (assuming you’re a “draper”). If the Greek gods gave me an offer–you can hibernate on planes, but your hair gets braided if you drape–I’d take in a second. But, of course, I wouldn’t drape.

I’m not touching strangers hair, could be full of lice!!!!!!
Fascinating journalism Gary
Keep your hair to yourself and on your side of the headrest.
She is lucky the person behind her didnt have a pair of scissors.
Oh please drape your hair over the seat in front of me please! I bring toys on the plane.
I would’ve braided it around the tray bracket so she wouldn’t be able to get up without someone unbraiding it for her.
