  1. I told you. its not United to blame. it’s the city county sf. most California has gone down. raising minimum wage won’t solve the problem

  2. [homer simpson eye bleach gif]

Auuughhhhhh I clicked on the accessible airplane lav tweet and I can’t un-see it!!

  3. Don G
But we have been told since the dawn of time that SFO is the greatest in all of the galaxies.

  4. @Don G could you try to be a little less obvious about your disdain for people with different political leanings? UA changed vendors and their new vendor wasn’t prepared. This has nothing to do with wages since. 400 of the 500 employees who worked for the first caterer moved over to the second caterer. Your politics have blinded you to the point that everything is the fault of politicians you disagree with. I wonder where you learned such behaviors?

And…FWIW…SFO is good but I would not consider it a great or an elite airport. Not for a second, not by any metric.

  5. Ah, a tale as old as time: Complain about so-called ‘blue’ states and cities. Great engagement bait, Gary!

  6. Don, G – this has NOTHING…. NOTHING to do with the City/County of SF. It’s a vendor failing to support their client.

Keep your inane political comments to yourself – if you MUST spew them, do it the basement.

  7. If people changed their flights and the catering situation started causing United a lot of money, it would get resolved quickly. BTW, San Francisco International Airport is not in the City of San Francisco (nor in the County of San Francisco which is consolidated with the City.)

  8. @CHRIS again, a failure in your logic.

You are implying that this is a workforce availability issue that can be solved by increasing wages. Incorrect. This is an operational issue unrelated to labor.

Gale as old as time. Company gets contract and bites off more than they can chew. Inadequate processes and infrastructure yield operational meltdown that cannot be solved by throwing more bodies at the situation.

Enough with the politics. Focus on reality, not your delusional fantasies.

  9. What if transporting food boxes in commercially available trash bags was the lowest cost solution? I am more saddened by the waste. Vendors have to solve their own problems and this looks like a solution to me.

  10. So is it safe to assume that United didn’t understand the labor market when it decided to save a little money and change caterers?

And how long til this mess is resolved and how many customers United will lose in the process?

  11. There’s a more important question here. I have never knocked on a lav door before entering, nor have I ever seen someone do it before seeing this video. It’s such a good system. You know when the door’s locked and when it’s not. The system is even smart enough to kinda force those that might not lock to lock. Does anybody really knock? (BTW, I kinda wish thisvwas more common in public restrooms.)

  12. @Craig Jones — Wrong again.

Nancy Pelosi’s current congressional district, California’s 11th congressional district, does not include San Francisco International Airport (SFO). While Pelosi represents most of San Francisco, the 11th district excludes certain areas on the city’s southern edge, including parts that would encompass SFO.

At least be more accurate with your criticisms of your opponents. Like, there’s so much better things to complain about, like all her (and many other congress peoples’) apparent insider trading. Let’s support bipartisan legislation to prohibit them from trading stocks at all during their terms. Or, we can just do culture war b.s.

  13. The boob lady is going to get that furniture disease. When her chest falls into her draws.

As some point her butt will be as big as her chest and she will not be hour glass shaped but beer bottle shappped

  14. I don’t see a problem with the bags – since they’re just bags before being filled with trash. Even the top comments on said reddit post have noted as such.
