  1. The answer to your question “should every frustration be legally actionable” is obviously NO. However as long as there are ambulance chasers and grifters looking to game the system they will occur.

I read the summary on this one and hopefully it will be dismissed. I’m sure Chase does reimburse credits for purchases that are in compliance with their terms. If he didn’t read or understand the terms sorry but a dumb consumer should not be bailed out by the legal system

  2. Nah, LH is just fine, not much better or worse than any other European carrier. You may just be setting the wrong expectations for German culture, mannerisms, etc., which can happen with any foreign carrier. I wish we’d all stop punching-down on flight crews. They don’t get paid enough as it is, even in Europe.

  3. For decades, the fastest way into LAX used to be to walk from the bus stop at Century and Sepulveda, just 200 yards east of LAX-it. A few months ago all transit agencies removed their bus service at that intersection in favor of the transit center that’s a mile away. Talk about a detour!

There is now no scheduled public transit that will get you anywhere near LAX. Not LA buses. Not Torrance buses. Not Santa Monica buses. Even after the people mover is operational, the detour one mile east will cost travelers 15 minutes of more compared to walking in from Sepulveda. This is so disrespectful of the public’s time and money. Not to mention stupid.

  4. @nsx at FlyerTalk — You’re making the JFK AirTrain to Howard Beach A train or Jamaica E train; the LGA Q70 bus from to Roosevelt E train; and, even the 62 bus from EWR to Newark Penn Station for PATH, NJ Transit, or Amtrak, all seem pretty good! Maybe y’all in LA should’ve done more mass transit… no, no, the cars and traffic are worth it. Rugged individualism!

  5. @PENILE — Wherever you are, sir. Kudos on that epic ‘Dear Mr. Charles,’ rant over at DoC (re: Perplexity). Wow. 10/10. *chef’s kiss* Never stop.

  6. The City of LA is wildly incompetent and run by cronies for the sake of their cronies. I’m surprised they didn’t get more out of the City. How Bass and the city council can get reelected when this is the result of their work product is bizarre. LA is such a dump RN. I love the city but the problems are obvious and the people in charge seem to have no capacity for competent governance.

  7. @1990,,, “they don’t get paid enough”
Well apparently they get paid enough to stand in line at the airline employment office. There seems a lot of folks scrambling for these jobs. But then after they get hired they start complaining.
    I heard McDonald’s was hiring
