Award Wallet Expands Account Coverage

For the past several months I’ve been using Award Wallet to manage my frequent flyer accounts.

The good folks at Award Wallet dropped me an email to update me on the programs they added support for in the past month:

Airlines
Czech Airlines (OK Plus), Fly Kingfisher, LAN (LANPASS), Malaysia Airlines (Enrich), Porter (VIPorter), Sun Country Airlines (Ufly Rewards)

Hotels
Coast Hotels (Coast Rewards), Fairmont President’s Club, Icelandair (Saga Club), Joie de Vivre (Joy of Life), Jumeirah (Sirius), Kimpton InTouch, Omni Hotels (Select Guest), Red Roof Inn (RediCard),

Bus and Rail
BoltBus (Bolt Rewards), Eurostar (Eurostar Frequent Traveler)

Other
e-Miles, Ebates, President’s Choice (PC Points), Sears Club

Ok, ok, you don’t have an Icelandair Saga Club account? I don’t either. And I didn’t even know that BoltBus had its own program. (Don’t ask me why, but I did know that BoltBus, a Greyhound subsidiary, didn’t participate in Greyhound Road Rewards.)

But I do use e-Miles, Ebates, LAN, and Fairmont President’s Club! The latter is useful if only because Fairmont Presidents Club members receive free internet for their stays.

I’m currently tracking over 50 accounts with them. Some folks prefer Miletracker, whose online tool is pretty good (I still wish they supported the desktop application), and Mileage Manager has a pretty cool feature to automatically search award inventory. But for now Award Wallet meets my needs well, they keep things very well up-to-date, and add programs aggressively (including by request).

  3. I’ve recently switched to Award Wallet from Miletracker. I actually prefer how Miletracker shows the points earned from the last query, but there are simply too many programs it no longer covers. For example, it hasn’t been retrieving ANA mileage for months. Award Wallet works very reliably on every program of interest to me. I can check accounts for multiple people at the same time. Still, it’s not clear to me what span of time it includes in its new mile update. It’s several weeks at least. And often, I want to know precisely what has posted since my last check.

  4. @Carol it does put changes from the previous 24 hours in parenthesis. But I agree with you on the way Miletracker shows the most recent change vs Awardwallet.

  5. If you have a Fidelity account, Full View is free and beats all the aforementioned programs, IMHO. Also lets you see your stuff in the same location as your investments, calculates your net worth, manages bills and other accounts, too.

  6. I have the Fidelity account but for just mileage and hotels I prefer to use Awardwallet. Much simpler, cleaner style and their service is great. I was having trouble with Avis downloading into my itinerary so I emailed and they responded within an hour (real response, not canned). My issue was taken care of that day.

    Did you ever do a more thorough review of Miletracker’s award search system? I tried it out a few months back and found it almost useless, but perhaps I was doing something wrong or expecting too much. I’d be interested to read a more detailed assessment.
