Finally a Hyatt Promo! Register for Double Points But Don’t Inhale

Hyatt went without promotions from December 2016 through March 2017. And they only ran one program-wide promotion in 2017, double points for April through June. There’s been no promo for all members and all stays since July 1.

It seemed like they’d go the full second half of the year without a promo even as other chains are leveraging their loyalty programs to put heads in beds. But Hyatt has surprised us.

They’ve rolled out a promo, but for six weeks only, offering double points for stays completed between November 15 and December 31, 2017. Registration is required by November 30.

Park Hyatt New York

Terms and conditions:

World of Hyatt members may earn double points for all Eligible Stays booked on Hyatt.com or the World of Hyatt app. Stays booked through other channels (including other Hyatt channels) are not eligible. You must register for the promotion at worldofhyatt.com/double points between November 15, 2017 and November 30, 2017. Stays must be completed between November 15, 2017 and December 31, 2017. Only Base Points on each stay are doubled, and all points awarded under this offer are Bonus Points. M life-Eligible Nights booked on Hyatt.com or the World of Hyatt app are eligible under this offer. Only the room occupied by the Member will count toward this offer. You must choose points for each stay. Please allow two to three weeks after your qualifying stay for Bonus Points to be posted to your account.

They’re also running two promotions with new Hyatt acquisition Exhale, best known among frequent travelers as the spa provider in the Dallas Fort-Worth and Miami Centurion lounges.

Hyatt believes that they can be a lifestyle brand, that you’ll want to inhale their vibe even when you’re not staying at their hotels and that you’ll choose their hotels and pay a premium because you associate them with wellness. And that is going to make their investment in Miraval and Exhale profitable.

New Hyatt Senior Vice President Mark Vondrasek is charged with integrating loyalty and these new ‘business platforms’. Here’s their first attempt:

  • Intro packages at Exhale Spas.

From November 15 through February 28, 2018, World of Hyatt members who are new exhale guests can enjoy a Week of Wellbeing, which, for $30 for a one-week package, includes unlimited fitness classes, 20% off spa therapies, and 10% off wellbeing boutique purchases. Proof of World of Hyatt membership must be presented upon check-in to take advantage of this offer, which is valid at participating exhale locations with a spa, namely: Atlanta Midtown, Boston Battery Wharf, Boston Back Bay, Dallas, Miami Downtown, Miami Bal Harbour, Miami South Beach. The New York Flatiron exhale is separately offering World of Hyatt members who are new exhale guests a Week of Wellbeing one-week package for $40, which includes unlimited fitness classes and 10% off wellbeing boutique purchases.

  • $10 off a fitness class and $25 off a 60 or 90-minute spa therapy at participating exhale locations through February 28, 2018. Voucher code for the discount is here.

You don’t even get bonus points for trying them out surprisingly enough. Personally I’d wait to become a new Exhale customer, if I had any inkling I wanted to be one, wait until they get desperate better integrated and come up with richer offers.

  1. Yup, too late. And I just completed my 3 stays for the quarter…nice of them to run a 1.5 month promo for their valued customers…

  2. Hmm, double points or 4th night free with Citi Prestige.

Just changed a res by calling Hyatt, so not eligible there. Sucks that they exclude other Hyatt channels.

  3. Agree with above. Also not likely to incentivize high rate corporate travelers who are forced to use corp booking engine or travel agent. WOH seems to be playing catchup these days – I guess hotel business is good as long as economy holds.

  4. This promotion is GREAT for those who are going for Globalist status with 20 nights within the last 4 months of the year. Again, it is useless for Globalists who have already renewed status the hard way. AGAIN, World of Hyatt does the least for their most loyal customers! I need to really think about whether Hyatt will be my hotel program of choice in 2018 because my choosing them in 2017 WAS A MISTAKE I ADMIT I MADE!
