Alaska–Singapore Airlines Partnership Ends October 1—Last Chance To Redeem Miles

The Alaska Airlines – Singapore Airlines partnership is ending. The relationship dates to 2017 and Singapore and Virgin America had been partners before that.

  • The full partnership ends October 1, 2025. September 30 is the last day to redeem miles from one program for travel on the other airline. No changes to any redemptions for future-dated travel starting October 1.

  • You can credit Alaska Airlines flights to Singapore KrisFlyer through end of the year.

  • Any Singapore Airlines tickets issued for travel today onward can only be credited to Alaska through end of the year. Tickets issued prior to September 1 can be credited to Alaska for any future travel date, but 2026 travel will require a manual request.

  • Alaska will still allow points accrual next year on Singapore Airlines if booking the flight on its website.

Alaska once had access to Singapore Airlines first class awards that even Singapore’s KrisFlyer members did not. At times Alaska had access to long haul business class awards that partners other than Air Canada did not.

It’s sad to see this partnership end. Alaska historically partnered broadly, and this has continued even after the airline joined oneworld. I do wonder if Alaska – which is starting to fly long haul and has more Boeing 787s on order – might fly to Singapore in the future?

  1. It has been damn near impossible to utilize Singapore on Alaska miles for about two years now. So this is hardly shocking news…

  2. Alaska is too weak to compete against Singapore Airlines. I do not think they will start SEA-SIN, or if they did, that it would survive. Alaska is better able to complete against Philippines, Air China, China Eastern, Thai.

    Sad to see the end.

I did redeem a Singapore Airlines award using Alaska miles in 2023.
