Its really hard to imagine MIA-SYD being viable. I’ll believe it when I see seats for sale.
Great circle distance MIA-SYD is about 15000 KM. For comparison, EWR-SIN is a little more, about 15300 KM. So there’s nothing infeasible about it. As for the economics? Well, I suppose there are enough people who want to be on a warm beach regardless of the time of year! Not sure what the cargo aspect would look like…
