Hey folks, a quick word of advice, if you use the link on Google flights to go to TK website, the booking comes up to TXL and it shows it as an Economy Class for the same price. But get the dates you want and go to on of the OTA’s like Expedia and it is OK, comes up as J. Thought I would alert just in case you miss it in the excitement

A330s are proper lie-flat. One of the best TATL Js. The only negative about traveling TK is the total ops mess that is IST. Sudden gate changes, clueless airport personnel, useless signage. But do take a stopover and visit the city if you can. TK puts J passengers in pretty nice hotels for overnight, and it’s a $20 taxi ride to the city center. Having a non-US passport helps, but even if you need a visa, it’s just $20 advance or $30 on the spot.
Thought Turkey banned all US passports?

No way am I flying an airline from a country that in-prisons journalists and political adversaries. Even if Turkish Airlines paid me I wouldn’t fly them.
Sometimes holding on to liberal democratic principals has a personal cost to it, you fly a different airlines that costs more money. I would no more fly an airline out of a country run by this despot than I would Satan Airlines.,
