RE JetBlue: Wow. Gary, what do you think of this? I would have thought that, given it’s already F-adequate legroom up front and decent IFE, JetBlue could have easily made their front section more competitive for budget-minded customers by simply blocking off the middle seats as they do in Europe (although without decent legroom in Europe), thus permitting good shoulder room. But what do I know? This seems to be a radical shift in the airline’s orientation and a big investment in that shift
I wrote the JetBlue piece; why does Cranky get credit?? 😉
I’ve also got a theoretical JetBlue suites seat map up this afternoon. Just a guess, but I think it could work, keeping EML and the best average economy pitch while adding in the suites.
@Seth Miller because I wrote this many many hours before you posted!
I wrote the original piece you linked to over at APEX. All part of the global media empire. 😉
@Seth Miller well Cranky pointed me to it. And I failed to read the byline!
“Learn their fare”: I’m guessing that should be “their fate.” (What’s the FF equivalent of “Freudian slip”? 🙂
fixed 🙂
