Break-In Attempt Of Woman’s Room At Airport Holiday Inn Caught On Video

A couple tried to pick the lock of the hotel room door at Holiday Inn near the San Jose airport. The guest inside called the front desk, who confronted the couple.

They claimed to have been “looking for a friend” and that they’d “knocked on the wrong door.” Knocked, it seems, with a tool to break into the room? The guest videoed the attempt. However nobody was caught.

The guest oddly suggests putting the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the room, and staying at an Airbnb, though neither one really helps keep you safer. When you’re in your room lock all available locks, not just one (and many rooms have three).

  1. For sure they’re connected with the hotel staff. That kind of stuff happens all the time here.

  2. THAT IS WHY I LEAVE THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN ON THE DOOR. I WAS ACTUALLY IN THE HOTEL WHEN THIS HAPPENED.

  3. This is why I carry pepper spray. I would have quietly unlocked the door, quickly pulled it open and sprayed the HELL out of the thieves trying to break in…THEN called the front desk and police!

  4. Use All the locks on the door. And even put something in front of it just to at least hear If something like this god forbid is going on.
