British Airways AARP Discount Extended Through 2019

British Airways Visa Signature® Card comes with a 10% re-usable code, CARDOFFERU, that cardholders can use to reduce the price of British Airways tickets. That offer has been extended to travel which begins by June 30.

And now the British Airways AARP discount has been extended too.

  • Book by January 31, 2019
  • Travel by December 31, 2019

The page lists the business and economy discount but no longer a discount for premium economy.

  1. Its too bad that BA removed WTP instead of fixing their systems to actually apply the WTP discounts. It used to advertise a WTP discount, show a “discount” label when booking, but not actually give you a discount. So essentially they were allowed to get away with over a year of false advertising, and what is the penalty? Nothing – just remove it. Classic BA under Cruz.

  3. Supposedly there was a T&C change stating the AARP discount is no longer stackable though. Can it still be combined with the 10% ‘CARDOFFERU’ discount?

  4. I had nothing but trouble when I tried to use the AARP discount to buy two tickets last year. First of all, the “discounted” price shown was exactly the same as the normal price. When I complained to AARP, they finally got BA to reimburse me for the discount I didn’t get. However, BA just sent me checks for the World Traveler Plus discount, not the $200 each for the business class tickets I had actually purchased. This was after several attempts to communicate with BA (all ignored) and AARP, so it took a lot of effort to get even these incorrect, lesser discounts.

  5. Today’s post is February 2. The offer expired already…must book by Jan 31. Or am I missing something?

  7. Hi Gary – I’ve been using the 10% BA Visa Signature CARDOFFERU since the beginning of 2018. It looks like it’s gone today or perhaps a glitch in the system?
