A man from New Orleans packed a foot long sex toy and lube in his son’s carry on bag. Then he sent his son through a TSA screening checkpoint. Hijinks ensue.

Trump Wants to Sell DC Airports and That’s a Good Idea
There’s a lot of pushback to the Trump administration suggestion to sell off DC area airports.
I’d like to leave aside the particular proposal and make a few points about the concept, both selling the DC airports and federal assets generally. Even if you’re not a fan of the President or of ‘privatizing’ see if you can disagree with these.
I Was First on the Upgrade List and I Didn’t Clear!
I’m driven nuts by upgrade issues like American Airlines agents not handing out upgrades to passengers who aren’t waiting in the gate area or not bothering to process upgrades at the gate because they’re too busy (so first class seats go out empty while passengers on the upgrade list sit in back).
Most of the time though what looks like shenanigans turns out to have a perfectly logical explanation on closer inspection.

Delta Employee Caught on Video Cursing at Customer
Delta is apologizing after one of their employees in Portland was caught on video telling a customer, “You can take my f’ing picture if you want to, a-hole.”
They offered the passenger a $200 voucher. They also delivered his luggage. And they report that the employee “has been suspended.”
Woman Puts Herself Through X-Ray Machine to Make Her Sure Bags Aren’t Stolen
One of the strangest things about the screening process to me is that at most airports when a passenger alarms or is flagged for random additional testing the whole line stops. It would be far more efficient to divert the passenger and continue moving the line through.
Sometimes going through the checkpoint I’m stuck waiting to get screened while my bags have already gone through. I never want to be separated from my bags where I cannot see my bags.

Man Jumps Fence at LAX, Sets off Landing Gear Fire Extinguisher on Southwest 737
Last night a man scaled a fence at LAX, ran up to a Southwest Airlines plane that was preparing to depart, and set off a landing gear fire extinguisher on the Boeing 737.
The man ran back toward the fence he had come in over. He was arrested “with the help of a police dog” who apparently also bit him.
Trump’s EPA Administrator: Flying Coach Would Risk My Life
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt flies Delta even when the government has a contract fare with another airline and flies first class due to ‘exceptional security circumstances’. His government travel forms claim coach would be unsafe for him. And as a result he has no problem meeting minimum spend requirements for Delta SkyMiles elite status.
