Airlines around the world are installing doors on their business class seats to create a sense of privacy for customers. The doors aren’t usually very tall, and someone walking down the aisle could look in on you. But seeing fewer people around you feels more private.

But it doesn’t have to cost thousands of dollars to create a sense of solitude on a long flight. One passenger on board an Airbus A340 set up a tent around their economy seat.

Delta Passenger Put Flight Attendant In Chokehold, Threated To Decapitate Her With Glass

Delta Air Lines flight 2432 from Atlanta to New Orleans turned to chaos on Wednesday shortly before landing as a passenger put a flight attendant in a chokehold and threated to decapitate her with broken glass that he held against her neck.

The passenger had been bleeding from his neck and cab crew sought medical assistance before he grabbed one of the crew. He’d reportedly cut his own neck.

Our Hero: Watch United Employee De-Escalate Conflict Between Passengers

A woman came on late in the boarding process prior to a United Airlines flight, and asked everyone to get up for her to reach her window seat. So far, so good, that’s what you’re supposed to do. But apparently she said this was important because she didn’t want anyone touching her. And that got her seatmates’ backs back a bit. Once she was in her seat she started talking about how no one can touch her, and that another passenger’s charger would have to be moved because it was in her space.

United Airlines Flight Diverts When Coach Passenger Wouldn’t Stay Out Of Business Class

United Airlines flight 871 from San Francisco to Taipei diverted and returned back to the U.S. on Thursday when a coach passenger refused to stay in their cabin. They kept going up into business class, and refused to stay in their seat. In grist for inequality commentators everywhere, two hours into the thirteen hour flight, the captain made the decision to turn back.

Should You Unbuckle Your Seat Belt Before the Plane Comes to a Complete Stop?

After your flight lands you’re supposed to keep your seat belt buckled until the pilot parks at the gate and turns off the seat belt sign. Although if you’ve been on any commercial flight in the past decade you know that’s not what happens.

At the very latest once the plane stops (you might still not be at the gate, and will move again) passengers start to take off their seat belts, gather their belongings and sometimes even make their way into the aisle.

Chinese Passenger Melts Down, Says He’s A Time Traveler Sent Back To Stop Flight From Crashing

Footage from Chinese social media shows an airline passenger melting down earlier this year. He said he was caught in a “time loop” – this was his sixth cycle through. The flight already crashed, everyone died, but he’s returned to this point and was warning everyone. He said they were destined for the same fate as Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
