It’s not really a trick. Several months ago I booked a ticket on Virgin America from Los Angeles to Las Vegas using the old site. The difference between Main Cabin and “instant upgrade to Main Cabin Select” was only $15. The old site would show every price on one page–it was easier to see the price difference.
This is a not a trick or a glitch: they are different fares: the full price MCS is a fully refundable fare; the upgrade is non-refundable.
As far as iFLYflat goes, I personally know Steven and he is a very knowledgeable guy and a class act. I would highly recommend him to Aussies!
Curious how Aussies do that. From what I understand roughly 50% of merchants in Australia charge extra for credit card fees.
