Earn More Miles Shopping Online With ‘Extra Rewards’

Several online shopping portals are offering bonus miles right now. When one shopping portal has a bonus usually many do because they’re mostly run by the same company.

  • Start your shopping on their site, click their link to the store you’re going to buy from, and earn miles for the purchase.

  • It still pays to check to see which store offers the best deal at the merchant you’re using. I frequently start my shopping at EV Reward, searching the store I’m going to use, and comparing how many miles (or percentage cash back) I will get for the purchase going through different shopping sites.

  • You can go from one bonus to the next here, and registration isn’t required, just make sure to pay attention to the end dates of the promotions, and be aware that shipping and tax usually do not count towards your spending total. Gift cards are also generally excluded.

American AAdvantage Shopping is offering 1000 miles: $150 spend through January 10 for 500 miles or $300 for 1000 miles (“plus check back weekly to see who’s offering extra miles.”).

United MileagePlus Shopping is offering 1000 miles: $150 spend through January 10 for 500 miles or $300 for 1000 miles (“plus check back weekly to see who’s offering extra miles.”).

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Shopping is offering 1000 miles: $150 spend through January 10 for 500 miles or $300 for 1000 miles (“plus check back weekly to see who’s offering extra miles.”).

Delta Skymiles Shopping has increased earning with several stores rather than offering a concrete bonus for specific levels of spend.

All of these bonuses are called “Extra Rewards.” However the earning from each for different merchants and the value of each currency varies.

  1. In addition to this, worth consulting cashbackmonitor.com to see at a glance discounts for a website on a number of portals. If you make an account you can load in how much you value various miles/points and it’ll show the best portal available.
