‘Grounded For Deep Cleaning’: Chicago Cops Board Southwest Plane After Naked Woman Poops On Seat

Police met Southwest Airlines flight 418 from Philadelphia to Chicago Midway when it landed because a woman onboard removed her clothes and defecated on her seat. A medical team responded as well.

The passenger involved had stripped down and let loose on the seat, which forced the airline to remove the aircraft from service for several hours for a thorough cleaning.

According to the airline,

Our Teams are reaching out to those onboard to apologize for the situation and any delays to their travel plans. Nothing is more important to Southwest than the safety of our customers and employees, and we appreciate the professionalism of our flight crew.

Oddly enough, a passenger stripped naked on Southwest last month, too!

Maybe they’re protesting checked bag fees; basic economy; reduced legroom; seat fees; boarding changes; expiring travel credits and devalued Rapid Rewards points?

  1. A thorough cleaning? Please. It’s poop. Healthy poop is a firm log. The seat just needs a quick Clorox wipe.

If you don’t poop like this, eat more fiber and drink more water. The average American eats only 11g of fiber a day. Women need twice that. Men need three times that.

I almost never wipe my ass because my poo comes out in such a way that leaves no residue on my anus.

  2. Gary always says “Clean. Your. Planes.” Finally, SWA is doing just that. Thoroughly. Deeply. It probably shouldn’t have had to come to this to get that to actually happen, but hey, you take what you can get sometimes. So, if this is what it takes, I say, poop away, lads and lasses!

@Unintimidated — As always, that was a bit ‘too much,’ bucko.

  3. I truly will never understand why an airline serves alcohol or allows intoxicated individuals on board. You never know what situation you may have on your hands when they drink. My children and I would rather have a peaceful flight that we paid for than a side show that can turn ugly. “Is it all about the Almighty Dollar?”

  4. OBVIOUSLY this poor woman has mental issues-what do you think? AND what’s the BIG deal about cleaning? Just put in a NEW seat!! If I ever even thought that I was sitting in a seat that had been puked on or pooped on, I’d puke- come on- seriously-get real

  5. I’m wondering if the Unintimidated one was the passenger who crapped on the seat. Nobody wants to know what yours looks like well except for one idiot that made the stupid comment. Also why would it take several hours to clean. I had a pax a very long time ago smear their butt on a wall and the interior door trying to find their area to wipe and that took an additional 15 min to clean, plane was on a 45 min turn…No problem. We’ve even had people urinate on the seats. All we did was take the seat cover off, put a plastic bag over the top of it and put a new seat cover on it. Presto. Put it in the remarks for a proper seat change when the flight ended it’s route for the day. Again no problem…

  6. My unpopular take: Women need structure and leadership in their life. Women used to have family, children and religion in addition to the community and governing body.

Single women, divorced women and single mothers are outside the natural structure of life and dont have the masculine leadership and stability that they need. We lie and say its a good thing to be celebrated. But it only confuses women and leaves them vulnerable to mental illness.

  7. @Edith – Curious why you single out alcohol and nothing else.

Drink too much alcohol: get drunk and act a fool
Eat too much: get fat, diabetic, kidneys fail
Drink too much water: become altered and then die

99.9% of people who consume alcohol on a plane do so responsibly. Eliminating alcohol would just punish well-behaved people while reducing ancillary revenue for the airline, causing ticket prices to rise.

Moreover, how do you know alcohol was the reason for her behavior? There are times when people appear “drunk” and they are having a medical or behavioral health emergency.

  8. @Wesley: So right, I mean we know there was zero mental illness in the ’50s and no one ever drank to excess then either.
