This is an interesting opportunity. Hyatt introduced new category 8 redemptions for the most expensive SLH properties that you can earn and redeem points at.
The Sailrock Resort in Turks & Caicos is currently category 7 (30,000 points per night) but they’re bumping it to category 8 (40,000 points per night) effective April 8. This is unusual because they only launched this hotel for World of Hyatt redemptions at the end of January.

However Hyatt explains that “[t]his resort recently added round-trip transportation on an inter-island flight from Providenciales International Airport (PLS) to South Caicos International Airport (XSC), where the property is located, into their room rate structure.”
When you arrive in Turks & Caicos it’s generally into the Providenciales airport. Now though you won’t be on your own for that segment, when you book a redemption stay there you get domestic air. And Hyatt isn’t going absorb that cost, they will be passing it onto you in the form of 10,000 more points per night for the redemption.
On a one night stay this seems reasonable, one night stays at this property are rare, and prices for the flight are so modest that the increase seems excessive to me. Figure on $54+tax each way based on Air Turks & Caicos fares:
Here’s a similar itinerary:
Hyatt says “a change in category needed to account for the round-trip airfare.” However redemptions booked fbefore 11 am CST on Monday, April 8, 2019 will be honored at category 7 pricing of 30,000 points per night, even though airfare will be included.

I just booked a stay, but I don’t see anything about the included flights in the rate details or confirmation. Do you know where I would find this information?
